Hello friends! I’m back with part two and more beautiful images from the awesome photography workshop I gushed about in my previous post, led by the amazing Emily Steffen with concept and event styling by Lisa of Simply Fabulous Events and Design and floral design by Ashley Fox! A few weeks ago, I attended ‘The Art and Business of Wedding Photography’ workshop at the Minneapolis Photo Center led by the absolutely amazing and fabulous Emily Steffen!! I learned SOOOOO much throughout the weekend and there was so much goodness that I just tried to soak it all it. I left feeling energized, encouraged and excited to grow my business and grow as a photographer! :)

The second day of the workshop included a styled photo shoot which was an absolute DREAM to photograph thanks to the amazing concept and event styling by Lisa of Simply Fabulous Events and Design and stunning floral design by Ashley Fox! It was simply GORGEOUS!!!! And I’m sooooo happy to share with you some of my favorite images from the day!! And, because there are just so many that I LOVE and want to share, I’m focusing on all the fabulous details today and will be back soon with more photos of our awesome ‘bride and groom’ for the day :) Yay!!!

Baby Payton

My nephew, Payton, has arrived!!! Yay!!! And he is so tiny, adorable and absolutely PERFECT :) The morning after we received the exciting news, I just had to jump in my car and head down to Southern MN to meet this sweet little guy, congratulate my AMAZING sister and brother in law, and of course introduce Payton to my camera ;) He was the perfect little model for being just 24 hours new! And I LOVED being able to capture such a special event and many precious memories!! For those of you who have been counting…yes, I now have three little nephews; two that are new within the past three months! And, all I can say is I absolutely LOVE it and the way I see it, the more babies the better! :)

Congratulations Tanya & Tom on the amazing addition to your family!! Payton, you are a BLESSING and your auntie loves you!!

Anya & Svea ~ Walker Art Center

Happy Monday!! I am soooo excited to share this photo session with you!!!! I had the complete joy of photographing the sweetest little girls, Anya and Svea, a couple weeks ago at the fabulous Walker Art Center. All dressed up and ready for Valentine’s day, these little sweethearts made my day with their adorable smiles and love for each other. Anya was such a good big sister to little Svea, always willing to hold Svea, put her arm around her to made sure she didn’t tip over, or give her a hug and a kiss :) So much cuteness…seriously, just look at their hats :) It was really hard for me to pick a just few favorites…so I picked more than a few to share. :) Enjoy and feel free to leave a comment below :)

Baby Love ~ Southern Minnesota

My beautiful sister, Tanya, is expecting a sweet baby boy at the end of the month!! Yay! It is an exciting time for our family and I can not wait to be an auntie again! :)

In honor of Valentine’s Day, a day all about love, I thought it fitting to share a few favorite photos from the maternity session with my sister and her adorable baby bump. Baby Payton, you are so loved already and we can’t wait to meet you!!

Ellie is One!

Our “little” Ellie is one year old! Brian and I can hardly believe how fast this year went and how quickly Ellie grew! She is still the sweetest, most loving dog that thinks she is still the 14 pound puppy we picked up at 8 weeks of age :) We feel very blessed to have gotten Ellie during what I can only describe as a year filled with many joys and sorrows. She has most definitely been a joy! Ellie surprisingly allowed me to take a few photos of her (while Brian held the treats :) ). Here are a few ~~that turned out~~ of our favorites. :) Happy Birthday Ellie!!

A New Look!

I am so excited, I can hardly contain it! It’s finished!! My website and blog have had a bit of a facelift and I’m loving it! Yay!!!! A HUGE thank you to my amazing and talented husband, Brian, for taking my ideas and vision and creating everything you see to so beautifully display my photos and my heart and passion for photography!! (And for his endless amount of patience with me when I had ‘just one more change’ :) ). I hope you all love the new look as much as I do :) So, pull up a comfy chair and cup of coffee and have FUN!! And I’d love to hear from you whether you are looking for a wedding photographer (I still have openings for 2012 :) ), or need a photographer to document your growing family, or if you’d just like to grab coffee and chat photography!! It would be a complete joy for me to meet you!

Riley

I am an auntie again!! :) Yay!!!!! Riley Paul was born on December 10th and is just as CUTE as can be!! I mean look at those cheeks and lips and hair and adorably chubby legs :) I had the absolute JOY of photographing little Riley at less than 24 hours new and he was the perfect little model, so attentive and content and amazing!! And I get to spend Christmas with this little guy…can’t wait!

Riley, you are a true blessing in our lives! We love you so so much!! :)

Elsie

I absolutely loved photographing this little sweetheart! Elsie has such a calm, sweet personality and, as I’m sure you will agree, she is absolutely adorable!! Elsie was also really patient with her mommy and me as we had so much fun with her outfit changes (Elsie seemed to prefer the diaper only look :) ). This family holds a very special place in my heart as Leah, Elsie’s mom, and I have been great friends since Kindergarten! Her friendship has been and continues to be a true blessing in my life! And what a joy to capture this wonderful family at such a special time in their lives!

Bill, Leah & Elsie, thank you for welcoming me so warmly into your home, for being so willing to move around furniture and sit on the floor and for allowing me to photograph your beautiful family! I loved every minute!!

I am going to be an Auntie again! Seriously, any day now and I can’t wait!!! :) When down in Southern MN a few weeks ago, my sister asked me to snap a few photos of her and her adorable baby bump, and I of course couldn’t pass up the opportunity!

Congrats Des, Jeremy and Nathan!! Can’t wait to meet the newest member of the family! That little baby is loved so much already!! :)
