Happy Monday!! I am soooo excited to share this photo session with you!!!! I had the complete joy of photographing the sweetest little girls, Anya and Svea, a couple weeks ago at the fabulous Walker Art Center. All dressed up and ready for Valentine’s day, these little sweethearts made my day with their adorable smiles and love for each other. Anya was such a good big sister to little Svea, always willing to hold Svea, put her arm around her to made sure she didn’t tip over, or give her a hug and a kiss :) So much cuteness…seriously, just look at their hats :) It was really hard for me to pick a just few favorites…so I picked more than a few to share. :) Enjoy and feel free to leave a comment below :)

Baby Love ~ Southern Minnesota

My beautiful sister, Tanya, is expecting a sweet baby boy at the end of the month!! Yay! It is an exciting time for our family and I can not wait to be an auntie again! :)

In honor of Valentine’s Day, a day all about love, I thought it fitting to share a few favorite photos from the maternity session with my sister and her adorable baby bump. Baby Payton, you are so loved already and we can’t wait to meet you!!

Ellie is One!

Our “little” Ellie is one year old! Brian and I can hardly believe how fast this year went and how quickly Ellie grew! She is still the sweetest, most loving dog that thinks she is still the 14 pound puppy we picked up at 8 weeks of age :) We feel very blessed to have gotten Ellie during what I can only describe as a year filled with many joys and sorrows. She has most definitely been a joy! Ellie surprisingly allowed me to take a few photos of her (while Brian held the treats :) ). Here are a few ~~that turned out~~ of our favorites. :) Happy Birthday Ellie!!

A New Look!

I am so excited, I can hardly contain it! It’s finished!! My website and blog have had a bit of a facelift and I’m loving it! Yay!!!! A HUGE thank you to my amazing and talented husband, Brian, for taking my ideas and vision and creating everything you see to so beautifully display my photos and my heart and passion for photography!! (And for his endless amount of patience with me when I had ‘just one more change’ :) ). I hope you all love the new look as much as I do :) So, pull up a comfy chair and cup of coffee and have FUN!! And I’d love to hear from you whether you are looking for a wedding photographer (I still have openings for 2012 :) ), or need a photographer to document your growing family, or if you’d just like to grab coffee and chat photography!! Riley

I am an auntie again!! :) Yay!!!!! Riley Paul was born on December 10th and is just as CUTE as can be!! I mean look at those cheeks and lips and hair and adorably chubby legs :) I had the absolute JOY of photographing little Riley at less than 24 hours new and he was the perfect little model, so attentive and content and amazing!! And I get to spend Christmas with this little guy…can’t wait!

Riley, you are a true blessing in our lives! We love you so so much!! :)

Elsie

I absolutely loved photographing this little sweetheart! Elsie has such a calm, sweet personality and, as I’m sure you will agree, she is absolutely adorable!! Elsie was also really patient with her mommy and me as we had so much fun with her outfit changes (Elsie seemed to prefer the diaper only look :) ). This family holds a very special place in my heart as Leah, Elsie’s mom, and I have been great friends since Kindergarten! Her friendship has been and continues to be a true blessing in my life! And what a joy to capture this wonderful family at such a special time in their lives!

Bill, Leah & Elsie, thank you for welcoming me so warmly into your home, for being so willing to move around furniture and sit on the floor and for allowing me to photograph your beautiful family! I loved every minute!!

I am going to be an Auntie again! Seriously, any day now and I can’t wait!!! :) When down in Southern MN a few weeks ago, my sister asked me to snap a few photos of her and her adorable baby bump, and I of course couldn’t pass up the opportunity!

Congrats Des, Jeremy and Nathan!! Can’t wait to meet the newest member of the family! That little baby is loved so much already!! :)

Jessica is One!

This little sweetheart just turned One! And I LOVED that Jessica’s parents asked me to photograph her to capture such a special milestone! I have had the joy of photographing Jessica and her parents before (here and here) and it is so much fun to watch her grow and experience her sweet, happy personality!! It was also a very special day because Jessica started walking just one day before!! So she got a lot of practice with her new skill during our session :)

Beth, Ryan & Jessica, Thank you for an afternoon of fun!! You are the best!!! And a special thank you to your mom for coming along. Grandmas get the best smiles :)

Emily & Andy had the most beautiful Fall wedding day: the sun was shining, the smiles were absolutely contagious and the couple sooooo in LOVE! Not to mention the details were really quite perfect :)

Sue at Oneka Weddings & Events did an absolutely beautiful job with the flowers!! Emily’s bouquet was just perfect!!!

Laura & Eric

A few weeks ago, I traveled to Wisconsin for a very special engagement session with one of my dearest friends, Laura and her new fiance’ Eric!! Laura and I met in college while counseling at Good Earth Village, a summer Bible camp, in Southern MN. We connected right away (some would say we were inseparable) and have been great friends ever since! Laura is one of the sweetest, most fun people I know, and she can make me laugh like no one else! I mean knee slapping, sides hurting, tears streaming down my face kind of laughter (seriously, ask my husband) :) Soooo, I was absolutely thrilled when Laura asked me to photograph her and Eric’s 2012 wedding! Of course I said YES!! :)

Rib Mountain State Park in Wausau, WI made for the perfect location for this e-session and although it was a bit chilly, Laura & Eric were AMAZING and made the best of it. We had a blast and I loved being able to capture the love they share for one another and the FUN they have together!!

Congratulations Laura & Eric! Thank you for an awesome afternoon and for allowing me to take “just one more”. :) I absolutely can not wait for your September wedding!!
